Qorveh is a city in the west of Iran and in the province of Kurdistan. This city is located in a vast plain in the west of Hamadan province, which borders Bijar city from the north, Songhor city from the south in Kermanshah province, and Dehgolan city from the west. This city is located at the foot of the Zagros mountain range and at an altitude of 1850 meters above sea level, and is considered one of the coldest cities in Iran and Kurdistan.
Baba gorgor village is located 18 kilometers north of Qorveh city. Next to this village, there is a tomb of one of the descendants of Imams named Seyed Jalal, known as Baba gorgor, which is famous in the whole region of Kurdistan, and people from other provinces come to this province to visit it.
Next to this Imamzadeh, there are several mineral hot water springs with therapeutic properties, the largest of which is known as Doctor and has countless therapeutic properties. One of the interesting natural phenomena next to this volcanic lava complex is known as "Dragon Stone" and its appearance is similar to gigantic prehistoric animals.
Sarab Qorveh, which is also called Sarab Kosar, is a natural and beautiful lake in Kurdistan province and is located in the south of Qorweh city.
The cool water of this lake, which is supplied by 12 spring mouths, flows all year round, the bubbling mirage springs cannot be seen from the surface of the water, and the aquatic plants of the lake also add to its beauty. A small island can be seen in the middle of the lake, which is beautifully lit and can be accessed by crossing an iron bridge.
Badr and Parishan protected area with an area of 43 thousand hectares is located between Kurdistan and Kermanshah provinces and 12 kilometers south of Qorveh city. Badr and Parishan region is a mountainous region and consists of rocky mountains, shallow valleys, Mahor hills and interconnected heights, whose height ranges from 2000 to 3298 meters. This area has many springs, among which we can mention the Shah Pasand spring, the northern springs of Badr Mountain, the blue spring and the shelter Parishan spring. This area with appropriate vegetation is the habitat of important animal species such as goats and goats, which in order to preserve these species and its natural and beautiful landscapes, was placed under the management of the Environmental Protection Organization as a prohibited hunting area since 1996 In the beginning of 2006, Solari was promoted to the protected area of Badr and Parshian.
